Terms of service

Effective 2026-10-01. These terms cover your use of app.goconnectrealty.com and the services of Connect Realty of The Carolinas.

1. Who we are

Connect Realty of The Carolinas is a licensed real estate brokerage (North Carolina firm license C26154), with Sheri Gregory as broker-in-charge. The website and portal at app.goconnectrealty.com are operated by Connect Realty of The Carolinas using software licensed from Portico Technologies LLC ("Portico Desk"). Portico Technologies provides the software only; it is not a real estate brokerage and is not a party to your listing agreement.

2. The service

Connect Realty of The Carolinas offers limited-service, flat-fee listing of residential property in the multiple listing services it belongs to, together with the add-ons described on the pricing page. The scope of what Connect Realty of The Carolinas does and does not do for you is set out in the listing agreement you sign; where these terms and the listing agreement differ, the listing agreement controls.

You remain responsible for pricing your property, showing it, negotiating with buyers, and completing the sale, except where the listing agreement or an add-on you have purchased says otherwise.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and either the legal owner of the property you list or authorised in writing by the owner. You are responsible for everything done under your login, for keeping your password private, and for the accuracy of what you enter. We may suspend an account used to enter false information, list property you have no right to list, or interfere with the service.

4. Payments and refunds

Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and are paid once, by card, through our payment processor (Stripe). Some packages also carry a fee at closing, stated on the pricing page and in your listing agreement, which is paid from the sale proceeds only if the property sells. We do not store your full card number. Refunds are governed by our refund policy. If you were referred by a partner company and keep a card on file, the charges we may make to it are limited to those you authorised at sign-up, and you receive an email for each one.

5. Electronic signatures and notices

By using the service you agree to sign the listing agreement, disclosures and related documents electronically, and to receive notices from us by email at the address on your account. Electronic signatures made through the portal have the same effect as handwritten ones under the federal ESIGN Act and North Carolina's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. You may request a paper copy of any signed document at any time.

6. What you provide

You confirm that the property details you enter are accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have completed any disclosure your state requires truthfully, and that you own or have the right to use every photograph and document you upload. You grant Connect Realty of The Carolinas and the MLSs it belongs to a licence to publish that material to market the property, which continues for as long as the MLS rules require after the listing ends.

You will not upload anything unlawful, discriminatory, or that violates fair housing laws, and you understand that Connect Realty of The Carolinas may edit or decline listing content to comply with MLS rules and the law.

7. MLS and third parties

Each MLS sets its own rules for how and where listings appear and may change them. We do not control Zillow, Realtor.com or other websites that receive listing data, or how quickly they update. We are not responsible for buyers, buyer agents, lenders, attorneys or other third parties you deal with.

8. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Connect Realty of The Carolinas and Portico Technologies are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss arising from third parties, and our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including duties Connect Realty of The Carolinas owes you under North Carolina real estate licensing law.

9. Ending the service

You may close your account at any time by emailing us; a listing that is live in the MLS is withdrawn under the terms of your listing agreement. We may end these terms if you breach them. Sections 6 to 10 survive.

10. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. We may update them; the effective date above changes when we do, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version.
